Exercise Bikes @ Fitness Friendly
Exercise bikes are stationary pieces of exercise equipment used to simulate the workout you receive when you ride a push bike. They are a good method of providing a low impact effective cardiovascular workout which puts very little stress on your joints. Exercise bikes come in two main forms; upright and recumbent, the difference being the position in which the user site. Upright bikes adopt a position similar to that of a push bike whilst recumbent bikes offer a more horizontal seating position. Often exercise bikes have various methods of increasing the resistance of the pedals thus increasing the intensity of the workout. Some modern exercise bikes even feature a video games console display featuring a cyclist, as the user increases their speed so does the cyclist on the console.
